Last Date Oct 31,2020 23:45 PM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
For the realization of the Hon PM Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, we need to develop Science & Technology (S&T) interventions that identify the problems that ...

Q3 Rural tourism can be planned near handicraft hubs. Few days back, Textile Department announced development of some places as handicraft villages. There tourists can not only enjoy the village life but they can buy locally produced handicraft items also. It can help in reaching out to person sitting at last strata through revival of rural economy and local artisans. Village tourism will generate employment locally and make villages #AatmaNirbharBharat by strengthening social infrastructure
Q3 Growing trend in Rural Tourism can bring the changes in villages. CBOs in villages can coordinate with tour operators. Tourists can be taken in groups to villages where they shall stay in huts and are served with local food delicacies. They can be entertained by village singers and dancers. Tourists can also take part in these cultural activities. Tourists can be taken to local sightseeing tours also. But it shall not be commercialized to an extent that the villages loose their identity.
Q3 to extend benefits of technological development to man sitting at last strata, new technologies shall be made affordable while making it more user friendly. It is found that when a new product is launched, its cost is increased while including features which may not be useful to everyone. But as there is no option available, people are supposed to buy costly products with unnecessary features. For example many features of mobiles are not used even once by most users in entire life cycle
Q3 Hon'ble PM during Mann Ki Baat talked about efforts of Mr Patidar from MP who has made community based organisation to connect about 4000 farmers to empower them. PM not just appreciated individual but gave a message to people that individual efforts also can change lives of thousands. It is amazing to know about such individual efforts. We have several success stories around us.
Q3 Our society has developed Political Temper than Scientific Temper. It is because all TV channels discuss politics only all days 24X7. There centre of discussions is politics. Whatever government does, they look it with political lense. Government shall come with a guideline that makes it mandatory for every TV channels to show science related debates and programs at primetime for at least 1 hour daily. This shall help in advancing Science & Technology capacity of community-based organisations
Q2 Our aim is to increase yield to make India #AatmaNirbharBharat in agricultural products and make farming profitable for farmers. For this farmers can use new technology to grow unseasonal vegetables and fruits by controlling temperature, moisture and soil conditions. There is good demand of unseasonal fruits and vegetables in India and they can fetch good returns to farmers
Q2 As the farm size reduces with division in family, any level of productivity increase may not suffice to get an output which alone can meet the family requirements of farmers. PM has several times mentioned this aspect and advised the farmers to start dairy and poultry farming to generate additional income. The role of emerging technologies would be to reduce the time which farmers spend on conventional farming so that farmers can get time for these activities.
