I’m writing this as a citizen of India. Even though the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been running for years and awareness has improved, the ground reality in many cities is still disappointing.

Overflowing garbage bins, open dumping in empty plots, and irregular waste collection are daily sights. Waste segregation is rarely followed, and there’s no real accountability in many local areas.

My humble request is for stronger on-ground monitoring — like appointing a responsible person for every few streets, fixing regular pickup schedules, and using QR codes or simple tools for citizens to report problems.

Swachh Bharat is a great mission, but to make it truly successful, the last-mile execution needs more seriousness and accountability.

The use of gas cylinders is increasing across the country. Due to the central government schemes, there is no village without a gas stove.

Gas cylinders are very essential.

The cylinders that are being filled with gas are not of good quality. Expired old cylinders are being refilled again and again. All gas cylinders should be used only for a specific period. Using expired gas cylinders can cause accidents. Therefore, the central government should instruct petroleum companies not to refill gas in expired old cylinders. ‌

The government should take this seriously as it is a matter of consumer welfare. Petroleum companies should replace old expired gas cylinders and distribute new gas cylinders to customers.

The age limit for appearing in UPSC civil services exams should be increased.

The opportunity should also be created for people working in the private sector.

The civil services examination system should also be changed.The civil service examination system has not been changed for a long time.

Work experience should also be respected.

If the applicant is selected, everyone who has the opportunity to work for at least 15 years should be given a chance.
UPSC should provide an opportunity for lateral entry in civil services.
A separate examination process is necessary for those with work experience. Appointments should be made departmentally. In the existing social justice framework, lateral entry should be provided in UPSC examination. This will also create an opportunity for private sector professionals.
