In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

Honorable P.M ...I can't giv u advice but as Common man i can only tel that the "Swatch Bharat campaign" shud be launched on massive large scale operation to realise ur dream of making India Clean by 2019. For that I am of the opinion that there shud be a bill passed in Parliament where in State govt has to compulsorily take Initiative for this Historic campaign.Hope this campaign don't end as a Photo Operation.Hope u become P.M again in 2019.
