Self advocates are those who are taking control of their own lives, including being in charge of their own medical needs. The self-advocacy movement is about people with disabilities speaking up for themselves and motivating others to take charge of their lives too. It means that although a person with a disability may call upon the support of others, the individual is entitled to be in control of their own resources and how they are directed. It is about having the right to make life decisions without undue influence or control by others.

Who can participate?
The self advocates from the focus group; with developmental and intellectual disabilities

Categories of submitting entries:
1. Videos
2. Article/ Essay/ Stories

Topics:
1. The World will love to hear your Success Stories. Share with us.
2. An article on how an institution can be made friendly towards people with developmental and intellectual disabilities
3. What are the barriers faced in your Journey and how you overcome it?
4. A note on the special techniques that can be adopted towards inclusion of focus group.

Competition Timeline: 5th July, 2017

Proposed Prize money:
First prize – Rs. 5,000/-
Second prize- Rs. 3,000/-
Third prize-Rs. 2,000/-

Note: Certificate of Participation will be given to all the entries.

Since the goals are wide and sweeping, each country may decide to prioritize so as to take
up some goals immediately and others a little later, not forgetting that all of them have to be
pursued, and possibly achieved within a time frame of 15 years.
Academic researchers can think of devising models to suggest to governments and
policy makers on how to implement the goals and ways to measure the progress as the
process moves forward.

Audio visual learning is more effective than any other is learning we teach our student with computer. We have many learning and teachings software in our computers like toon masti,Punjabi plus, rhymes with action , story tellers students learn with interest.

Good morning,
Last year I started, social upliftment programme, with Regd. Multipurpose coop society in Belgaum, Karnataka, I create small small customers, members, with daily collection, but, after declaration of DEMONETIZATION, I face lot of problems, to set cash withdrawals, because at initial stage I invest some amounts in lands to get proper returnS. Hence, I haven't sufficient funds, nor any financial, help from any institutions.
I planned to create more jobs. But, badluck.

When unlimited calls and data are available only in Rs. 350/-
Then why members of Parliament are getting Rs. 15000/- as telephone allowance ?

Raise this question and send it in all groups.
Nearly 550 members of parliament multiplied by Rs 15000/- thats Rs.82,50,000/-
Only wastage of our tax money.
