Faridabad selected under fast track for smart cities on 21st. May 2016. Overall vision of the city is “Developing Faridabad through Transit Orient Development, smarter mobility and urbanism for creating development which provides social, economic and environmental benefits for its citizens and promotes overall quality of life.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) – Faridabad Smart City limited (FSCL) was established on 12th August, 2016 to implement the mission for the city. In the development process and planning, FSCL has taken citizens of the city as partner in the progress. The process of co-creation through cooperative-competition seen during the preparation of the Smart City Proposals (SCP) is to be continued also during implementation.
Now FSCL has initiated a competition involving “citizens” in the design of a Street, Lakefront and Parks etc.
The contestants have to design and give the desirable situation (target). The design will be assessed by the FSCL on its do-ability and innovation. The participants of the competition can be from any walk of life and may include citizens, students, technical experts, teachers, architects, planners and others.
Topic of Design Competition: Make Your City Smart-Faridabad
FSCL has selected the following Themes for inviting design/concept of following projects:
1.Street: STREET CONNECTING OLD FARIDABAD RAILWAY STATION TO OLD FARIDABAD METRO STATION
2.Lakefront Development: BADHKAL LAKE
3.Parks & water body: BARAHI TALAB AREA
Last date of submission is 31st January, 2017.
Prize Money:
First Prize: Rs.50,000/-
Second Prize: Rs.30,000/-
Third Prize: Rs.20,000/-
